This calculator helps determine the minimum fall clearance required to safely stop a worker in case of a fall. Fall clearance is the total distance needed to prevent a worker from hitting the ground during a fall. To calculate this, enter the following:
- Lanyard Length (LL): The length of the lanyard used (in feet).
- Deceleration Distance (DD): The distance required to stop the fall after the lanyard engages (in feet).
- Height of Suspended Worker (HH): The worker's height (in feet).
- Safety Factor (C): An additional buffer for safety, typically recommended by standards (in feet).
