This calculator helps determine the live load for different types of scaffold platforms. The live load is based on the type of work being performed and is prescribed by standards. The live load represents the weight of workers, tools, equipment, and any other movable items placed on the scaffold. It is used to ensure the platform is designed to support the intended weight, maintaining safety and stability. To calculate the live load, select the appropriate load type and enter the platform area.

• Light Duty: 1.2 kN/m² (for workers only, no material storage).
• Medium Duty: 2.4 kN/m² (for workers and some material storage).
• Heavy Duty: 3.6 kN/m² (for workers and substantial material storage).

After entering the platform area and selecting the load type, click the Calculate Live Load button. The result will show the total live load in both kilonewtons (kN) and kilograms (kg).
