Note:
This calculator helps assess the risk level based on the likelihood and severity of an event.
The Likelihood refers to the probability of an event occurring, rated on a scale from 1 to 5:
- 1: Very Unlikely (The event is almost impossible to happen)
- 2: Unlikely (The event could happen but is very rare)
- 3: Possible (The event could happen, but is not common)
- 4: Likely (The event has a good chance of happening)
- 5: Very Likely (The event will almost certainly happen)
The Severity refers to the potential impact or consequences of the event, rated on a scale from 1 to 5:
- 1: Minimal Impact (Negligible consequences with little to no effect)
- 2: Minor Impact (Minor consequences with limited disruption)
- 3: Moderate Impact (Noticeable consequences with some disruption or damage)
- 4: Major Impact (Serious consequences with significant disruption or damage)
- 5: Catastrophic Impact (Severe consequences that may lead to significant harm or complete failure)
The risk level is determined using the formula:
Risk Level Interpretation:
- 1 - 5: Low Risk ✅ (Indicates a low likelihood of occurrence and minimal impact if it happens.)
- 6 - 10: Medium Risk ⚠️ (Represents a moderate likelihood of occurrence and a moderate impact.)
- 11 - 15: High Risk ⚡ (Denotes a high likelihood of occurrence and significant impact.)
- 16 - 25: Critical Risk 🚨 (Shows a very high likelihood of occurrence with severe consequences.)
