This calculator helps you calculate the OSHA Total Recordable Injury Rate (TRIR), which is used to evaluate the safety performance of a workplace. The TRIR is calculated by multiplying the number of recordable injuries by 200,000 (a standard multiplier) and dividing by the total employee hours worked. The result helps determine if the workplace safety is good, acceptable, or in need of improvement:

• Good TRIR (≤ 1): Indicates a safe workplace with minimal injuries.
• Acceptable TRIR (1 - 3): Indicates room for improvement in safety protocols.
• Bad TRIR (> 3): Indicates a higher-than-average injury rate, and immediate action should be taken to improve safety.
