Bulldog Grip Calculator

Note:

Bulldog grips are used to form an eye or a loop at the end of a wire rope. Proper placement and number of grips ensure the safety and efficiency of the wire rope connection.

Spacing: Bulldog grips should be spaced at a distance of approximately six times the rope diameter for optimal grip strength.

Calculation:

  • For wire rope up to and including 20 mm: 3 grips
  • For wire rope over 20 mm and up to 32 mm: 4 grips
  • For wire rope over 32 mm and up to 38 mm: 5 grips
  • For wire rope 41 mm: 6 grips
  • For wire rope over 41 mm and up to 50 mm: 7 grips
  • For wire rope over 50 mm and up to 60 mm: 8 grips
  • For wire rope over 60 mm and up to 70 mm: 9 grips
